Terms & Conditions

1. Booking & Deposits

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your charter date with The Next Bite Charter ("we," "us," or "the Charter"). The remaining balance is due on or before the day of your trip. A 3% booking and processing fee is applied at checkout.

2. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Cancellations made at least seven (7) days before your scheduled charter may be rescheduled based on availability. Deposits are non-refundable. No-shows forfeit the full charter fee.

3. Weather Policy

The Captain's decision regarding weather and safety is final. If your trip is canceled by the Captain due to unsafe weather or lake conditions, you may reschedule your charter or receive a full refund of your deposit. Trips that have already departed and are later shortened due to weather are not eligible for a refund.

4. Guests & Age Requirements

Charters are limited to a maximum of four (4) guests.

The minimum guest age is 10 years old.

All guests age 16 and older must possess a valid Michigan All-Species Fishing License before departure.

5. Conduct & Safety

Guests must follow all instructions provided by the Captain at all times.

Illegal substances, disorderly behavior, unsafe conduct, or refusal to follow safety instructions may result in immediate termination of the charter without refund.

6. Assumption of Risk & Waiver

Fishing charters involve inherent risks associated with boating, fishing equipment, weather conditions, and open water.

All guests are required to sign a liability waiver before participating.

By booking a charter, you acknowledge these risks on behalf of yourself and all members of your party.

7. Catch & Equipment

All fishing activities are subject to applicable Michigan Department of Natural Resources regulations.

The Next Bite Charter provides rods, reels, tackle, bait, and fish cleaning.

Fishing success depends on weather, water conditions, and seasonal fish activity. We cannot guarantee catch numbers or specific species.

By providing your mobile phone number during the Checkfront booking process and expressly consenting to receive text messages, you agree to receive recurring SMS communications from The Next Bite Charter regarding your reservation. These messages may include booking confirmations, deposit confirmations, payment reminders, waiver reminders, trip reminders, weather updates, scheduling changes, customer support communications, and other reservation-related notifications.

Message frequency varies depending on your booking activity.

Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing our services.
